If you're a landlord this policy protects your rented property for events such as fire, storms, flood^#, earthquake as well as malicious damage by tenants. If you work less than 37 hours a week you can save on your premium with the Work Less Pay Less® discount*.

Apia Landlord cover features:

Fire, theft, storms and flood damage^#
Malicious damage caused by tenants and their guests (up to $25,000)
Cover for loss of rent for up to 52 weeks if your property is unliveable following an insured event
Motor burnout cover (up to $2,000)
Work Less Pay Less® discount* if you work less than 37 hours a week
Legal liability (up to $20 million)

^#Actions or movements of the sea and storm surge are not covered (unless the storm surge damage occurs at the same time as damage caused by storm)

Legal liability can cover you to pay compensation for death of or bodily injury to other people, or loss or damage to their property. For example, if you have Apia Landlord insurance on your property and your tenant has made a claim against you for injuries that occurred during your period of insurance due to a fall from tripping over a large crack running across the driveway of your property.
